Dang… and just like that my NYFW recaps have come to an end. In this last behind-the-scenes recap, Stacey, Christina and I headed to the Lola Creative Agency studios to shoot our video pitch for #SfBloggersTakeNYFW. We got to work with Julian Edward who has worked with The Weeknd, Wiz Khalifa, and has an amazing artful eye for lifestyle photography. We were so stoked to work with Lola because they’re making their name in the bay area and we were introduced to Julian’s work at the same time!
Shooting the video was no easy feat. We had a vision of what we wanted it to look like and it really was a first for all of us to be filmed in a group setting. When you film yourself for tutorials, you can edit out what looks weird or if you mess up it’s not a big deal, but filming in a group setting was challenging because you always have to be on your A game. Sit up straight, suck it it, smile, wait… am I doing my resting bitch face? Oh gosh, were my eyes open enough? Am I repeating myself? It’s crazy and funny to do all at the same time. But of course, without a sweat, Julian pulled off the video and we loved it. He was able to capture our personalities and quirks which made it that much more special. Check out our video here!
A huge thanks to Lola for collaborating with us on such a cool project and to Julian + his hilarious assistant (BJ) for sticking with us through the day + a big kiss to my sweetie (#landofries) for taking our behind-the-scenes photos!
