Is it Summer yet? Even after being here for two years, I am still a Floridian after all! We’ve been having some interesting weather here in the East Bay. From rainy and cold to dry and hot, my skin and my outfits have endured enough! Maybe you’re already prepped for Summer with your colorful outfits and gladiator sandals just itching to be worn. For me, my heart beats for my dark clothing and I spend a good majority of my time meshing light with dark even during the highest of temps.
Which is why I love this stark white Italian leather backpack from Banana Republic! I’ll admit that when I purchase a purse, my instinct is always to choose a black or brown color because of wear longevity. So, how about switching things up? Don’t you have a pair of heels in your closet that make you so happy? Or maybe a top you love that you can only wear a few times a year? This backpack does that for me. As soon as I put it on, it was an instant outfit eye lift. My all black getup goes from dim and dark to fun and different. I had a few people stop me on the street to ask where I’d snagged the bag from which completely pays for the cost per wear for me. Anyone else live by this unknown rule? It has to be some kind of girl code!
Before any photoshoot, Luis and I always grip over where we’re going to shoot and after driving aimlessly in random directions, we strike gold. I’ll let you know when we stop finding new places to scour while living here but so far it’s looking like MEL: 0 Cute little hidden gems: 20. Not complaining! I’ll be excited to hunt for more places as the days get warmer and warmer. We’ve been on a roll finding brunch places all throughout the East Bay so if you aren’t shy about sharing your favorite Bacon and Eggs (better known as BAES) spot then you know who to call! Anyone else ready for Summer? Think you’ll pull some of your darker wardrobe into the lighter Summer mix? Fill me in!
